How far does your name carry?
People catch a lid in passing, so a laptop ad gets one name, one line and one QR code. Type yours, then drag the distance and see what still reads.
Rules of thumb, not lab results: about 1 inch of letter height for every 10 feet of distance (Signs.com) and a QR code scanned from no more than about 10 times its width (Scanova). The studio lets you make the code bigger when it needs to reach further.

FAQ
Laptop advertising questions.
What is laptop advertising?
An ad for your business on the back of your own laptop. The lid faces the room every time you work in public, so a skin with your name, one line and a QR code turns it into a small sign you carry everywhere.
Where do people actually see your laptop?
Coffee shops, client meetings, conferences and expos, coworking spaces, airports and flights, and campus libraries. In most of them the nearest person is one to three meters away.
What should a laptop ad say?
Your business name, big enough to read across a café; one line that says what you do; and a QR code with its white border intact. Small print rarely reads past the next table.
Is a laptop skin cheaper than other ads?
It’s one payment of $64.93 with shipping, with no monthly fee and no ad auction. We haven’t found anyone who has measured impressions for laptop lids, so we can’t quote a cost per impression. The nearest benchmark, ASI’s 2026 study of promotional products, puts giveaway items at $0.006 per impression.
Can I sell ad space on my laptop?
Some people do: there are marketplaces where brands pay for a sticker spot on someone’s lid. If a sponsor wants the whole lid, their logo can go on your skin as long as you hold the rights to use it. Our content policy has the rules.
