Content policy
What we won’t print
A skin goes everywhere its owner goes, so the same rules apply to every design, however it was made. Here’s where we draw the line and how we check before anything is printed.
- 01
Logos and trademarks you don’t own
Your own logo is the point. Someone else’s logo or mascot stays off the skin unless you hold the rights to it. - 02
Real people without their consent
A photo or likeness of a real person needs their permission, and that includes celebrities. Our AI requests tell the image model to leave real people out entirely. - 03
Hate
Slurs and symbols that attack people for their race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or anything else about who they are. - 04
Sexual content
No nudity and no sexual imagery. - 05
Violence
No gore, and nothing that threatens or celebrates hurting people. - 06
Illegal content
Nothing that is illegal to make or sell, and nothing that promotes something illegal.
Your own logo and your own artwork are what LapAds is for. If you made it, or you hold the rights to it, go ahead.
How designs get checked
Three checks before anything prints
Check 01
AI prompts are screened first
A content filter reads every prompt before it reaches the image model. If it flags yours, nothing is generated and no credit is spent. Every request also carries our rules for skins, which include no third-party logos and no real people.
If the image model declines a request on its own, the credit is refunded automatically. We may switch off AI generation for an account that keeps getting flagged.
Check 02
Uploads are checked
Images you upload go through an automated content check as well. If one is flagged, we can’t print it, and you’ll get a message saying so.
Check 03
A final review before printing
Every print file is reviewed before it goes to print.
Think we got one wrong?
Filters make mistakes. If something you own was flagged, email us at connect@lap-ads.com with what you were trying to make.
Start with what’s yours
Put your own logo on your laptop
Upload it once and the editor places that exact file. Then add your name and website around it.
