Shops use these words loosely, so it’s worth a minute before you order.
A sticker
Small and die-cut, a few centimeters across. Cheap, easy to swap, and you’ll want several. Most sticker shops do these well.
A custom-sized sheet
Covers the lid, but you measure it yourself and type in a width and height. Get a corner wrong and it shows.
A LapAds decal
One printed vinyl sheet covering the lid, sized from the manufacturer’s dimensions for your model. Some shops would call it a skin.

Every named model has its own width, height and corner radius, taken from the manufacturer’s spec sheet. The 16-inch Dell XPS is 54 mm wider than the 13-inch MacBook Air, and a one-size decal can’t fit both.
The universal 13, 14 and 15-inch sheets are for laptops we don’t list. They’re standard sizes, so measure your lid first and expect a border.

Laptop decal questions.
Is a laptop decal the same as a laptop skin?
People use both words for the same thing: a printed vinyl sheet on the back of the lid. Some shops use “decal” for a small cut-out sticker instead. Ours covers the lid in one piece and is sized to the model you pick.
Which laptops can I get a decal for?

My laptop isn’t listed. Will a universal decal fit?
Measure the back of your lid and compare it with the universal sizes on the size chart. They’re standard sheets, smaller than most lids, so expect a border of bare lid around the edge. Pick the largest one that fits inside your measurements.
